How Contest Gallery Network handles listing data, public pages, moderation checks and contact requests.

What the Network publishes
When a Contest Gallery administrator publishes a listing, contest-gallery.net receives public listing data: website title and URL, gallery title, description, tags, contest URL, preview image URLs, featured public entry image URLs and public activity numbers such as entries, votes and comments.
What is not submitted
The Network export is designed not to submit IP addresses, email addresses, usernames, user IDs, registration data, form field values, EXIF data, private comments or comment text.
Purpose of processing
The submitted data is used to verify the source website, review the listing for safety, publish searchable public Network pages, provide public links to the participating website and keep listing activity current.
Verification and moderation
contest-gallery.net performs a server-to-server domain verification request to the publishing website. Submitted text, contest URLs and preview or featured images can be reviewed for safety. For this safety review, selected text and images may be sent to OpenAI.
Remote images and external websites
Preview and featured entry images are generally loaded from the publishing website. When visitors open a Network page, their browser may request those image URLs directly from that website. Links to published contests also lead to external websites operated by the respective administrators.
Server logs and search
Like most websites, the server may process technical access data such as requested URL, time, browser information and IP address for security and operation. Search terms can appear in the URL query string when visitors use the Network search.
Cookies, accounts and payments
The current Network directory does not provide visitor accounts, payments, newsletters or tracking cookies. If this changes, this policy should be updated before those features are activated.
Retention and removal
Public listings can be unpublished by the verified website administrator. Listings also expire from the public index when no accepted update is received for 14 days. Technical quarantine/audit files may be retained for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting.
